Established in 1931, the Šiauliai State Drama Theater is one of the oldest professional theaters in Lithuania. It is a repertory theater that represents the diversity of contemporary theater and stages performances for children and adults.
The theater has a large hall and a small hall. Currently, the permanent troupe consists of 30 actors.
The theater tours various cities across the country, participates in festivals, and organizes educational activities. Every year during the theater season, 4–6 premieres are presented to audiences.
Since 2016, the theater has been managed by Aurimas Žvinys, and the current artistic director is Nomeda Šatkauskienė.
The theater actively participates in the cultural life of the city and is open to new creative initiatives and collaboration.
